ISDH Strategic Plan ~ Overall Goal Progress This web page provides a high level illustration of the progress that we`ve made in our Strategic Plan. These measures are responsible for helping us improve the health, safety, and well-being of Hoosiers across the state through the services we provide. With our values of integrity, innovation, collaboration, excellence, and dedication, OPHPM has worked with every reporting program area to make each measure reflective of the program`s work. The team placed special emphasis on how we can work towards achieving health equity and the role programs at the agency play in promoting optimal health among all populations. ISDH Strategic Plan Objectives The Indiana State Department of Health steered the making of the 2018 - 2020 Strategic Plan to answer the question: What can ISDH do to improve the delivery of public health services to the citizens of Indiana? ISDH considered key support functions required for efficiency and effectiveness and sought to articulate what it plans to achieve as an organization, the actions it will take, and how it will measure success. The identified objectives and activities to follow are embedded within ISDH`s performance management system (VMSG) and will be tracked regularly throughout the life of this plan. | ||

ISDH Strategic Plan Activities With ISDH`s efforts to continuously adapt and analyze our processes, OPHPM is working with program areas to edit their measures in preparation for updating our current Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan is a living document that will be continuously evaluated and updated as public health evolves in Indiana to be reflective of the services the agency provides.
